  • How does it work?

    One-click turns your local device into our production camera, empowering us to capture the content needed utilizing professional camera capabilities like exposure, color balance, lens selection, focus, frames-per-second, and professional audio.  

  • What is involved in the actual shoot?

    We make it easy. There is no installation required. You click on an email “session” link, and we are ready to start recording.

  • How secure is it?

    Sensitive work on computers, networks, and phones need not be compromised by installing software.  Access is handled via a web browser or phone app that automatically deletes itself when the recording session has finished and the video upload is complete.

  • Who is involved?

    It can be just the person and us on camera, or we can engage other collaborators on the project, such as a producer, director, or key stakeholder.  We email them the session link, and boom, they are ready to collaborate!

    Includes a session room and live video interaction for all of those involved. Essentially, this mimics the feel of an in-person video production shoot where the client, producer, director, and technician work together to capture the desired content. Collaborators interact in real-time with the on-camera subject and give direction as needed. They can see what’s being captured and immediately flag any problems, and make necessary changes at the moment.

  • What about b-roll?

    Yes, we can direct you on b-roll shoots.  We’ve produced over 1000 videos and will assist in capturing the best footage to help tell your story.

  • Can you shoot with multiple cameras?

    Yes, right now, the maximum technically is 8, and we’ve done five-camera remote shoots – it just requires planning.  And we have no restrictions on the type or variety of devices, so we plan for your video needs to have the most significant impact and move the needle with your audience.

  • Why is the video quality better than streaming like Zoom, Teams, or Facebook?

    Video is recorded natively on the device (iOS, Android, or computer) and doesn’t rely on Wi-Fi.  The internet, specifically a Wi-Fi connection, isn’t always reliable. We eliminate this problem by recording locally on your device, ensuring that the videos are reliably recorded in the highest possible resolution instead of capturing streaming footage through traditional video conferencing software or screen recording tools.

  • Am I dependent upon my Wi-fi connection?

    You’ll need Wi-Fi to connect to the session via the web browser link or phone app, but if your Wi-Fi glitches momentarily, for example, it won’t show up as a glitch in the recording since it’s not capturing the live streaming footage like a Zoom recording would.  By recording locally on your device, we ensure that the videos are reliably recorded in the highest possible resolution, instead of capturing streaming footage through traditional video conferencing software or screen recording tools.”

  • What other equipment will I need?

    Most likely, nothing extra will be required. We will review the area and subject(s) we capture during our pre-production meeting.  Once we figure out what's needed, we can send the studio in a box (tripod, light, microphone), give you links to buy your own, or place your device (iPhone or Android) on an inexpensive stand.

  • How reliable is the process?

    The system automatically saves and uploads the video content once the recording is finished.  We can all relate to the terrifying moment when you aren’t sure whether your essential document was saved before you closed out the application. Stressful, right? We take the stress away by automatically saving and uploading the video content from your device (remember, it saves locally!) once the recording wraps. 

  • How do we ease the on-camera subject into the recording?

    We provide on-camera direction and nuanced interviewing skills to capture the best angles and storytelling, even for those shy folks. We have produced hundreds of these videos and are experts at putting people at ease. Utilizing the teleprompter feature is available for scripted videos, talking head videos, or people nervous about going on-camera and don’t want to memorize much copy.
